Post by ShadowWhy are you answering posts you made years ago ?
I was simply looking for the server!
What on Earth for ?
My memory is not quite as good as once it was.
Post by ShadowI've now found it. It's NOT part of Usenet AFAICT.
You posted a Usenet feed list from almost 19 years ago. A 500
line list. Most of the sites on it are probably flotsam or dead. They
might even have been hacked and contain malicious content.
Not something a "good guy" would post.
Most Usenet feeds and servers are PRIVATE firms, or did you
think Usenet was just "put there by god".
I posted the list because you refuse to 'open' links in my posts.
I've never been absolutely sure about this.
Post by ShadowCan you imagine how much harm 'bad guys' could wreak by posting
malicious links in posts made on a PRIVATE server, protected from all
the bad things which are known to occur on the 'open' Internet?
Nobody would think twice about clicking on each and every link; they'd
never expect any harm to come to them in such an environment.
Oh, but they do. You'd be amazed at the number of links you've
posted to copyrighted or malicious software. Which is why I always
alert noobs that might fall for you tiresome little tricks.
Reread what I said.
Post by ShadowHow would YOU approach such links, Shadow?
I'd never click on a link you post.
That's one reason you have so little understanding.
Post by ShadowI noted that you had added alt.2600 - I'll leave it included.
It's on topic here. Unlike the post you made to ACF, which was
about Vimeo downloads.
No probs!

Black Hole is on the camtekdigital server Tom ... not been much action
there for a long time, but sometimes see a few stats in there ....
BTW this is being cross-posted which I think is leading to some
confusion as to who is in charge of what room and what is allowed ....

Just noticed there are stats in the black hole room. Don't know what
email client they are using.

Actually this was originally a stationery group but when folks started
switching their OSs, a lot of head pastings started being posted.
I was in
many of the stationery groups which is why you will see so many
different
names I'm known by on the rules I just posted.

If I can get an okay from whoever is in charge here. Don't want
to break
any rules.

That's not entirely true. I have win 10 and Winmail and can still
do and
create stats. If it's okay I will post one in this room.

newsgroups. If I remember correctly, the problem comes with
